Please read below prior to purchasing or booking any service with Inspired Art Therapy and Counselling Therapists, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms outlined in this Client Consent Form. Purpose of Therapy
Inspired Art Therapy and Counselling Practitioners provide therapeutic support through art therapy, talk therapy, and related practices. These sessions aim to support emotional well-being, foster personal insight, and promote healing.
Client Rights and Responsibilities
You have the right to:
Be treated with respect, dignity and compassion
Ask questions at any time about your treatment
You are responsible for:
Attending appointments on time
Providing accurate information relevant to your care
Notifying us of any changes to your contact or health information
Managing your appointments and being aware of our cancellation policy
Cancellation Policy
We are a busy practice committed to providing high-quality care. To help us maintain this standard, we kindly ask that you provide at least three full business days’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Please note that your appointment time is reserved specifically for you and cannot be refunded or reassigned on short notice.
- If you give less than three full business days’ notice and we are unable to fill your appointment slot, you will be charged 100% of the consultation fee.
- If you fail to attend without any notice, the full consultation fee will also apply.
While we send appointment reminders, it is ultimately your responsibility to manage your bookings.

Informed Consent for Physical Touch
As part of certain therapeutic practices, such as somatic interventions or grounding techniques, physical touch may be considered.
We will always:
- Seek your explicit, informed consent before initiating any therapeutic process involving physical contact.
- Fully explain the nature, purpose, and expected outcomes of any such intervention.
- Respect your right to decline or withdraw consent at any time.
For ethical guidance on this issue, we adhere to the principles outlined in paragraph 6j of the relevant codes of conduct (ACA, PACFA, ANZACATA).
This Is Not a Crisis Service
Inspired Art Therapy and Counselling Practitioners do not provide 24/7 or emergency crisis support. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact one of the following services:
Confidentiality
All information shared during sessions is treated with strict confidentiality and will not be disclosed without your written consent, except under the following circumstances:
- If there is an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others
- If abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person is disclosed
- If required by law (e.g., under subpoena or court order)
In line with the ethical standards of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA), your therapist engages in regular clinical supervision. This is an essential part of best practice that helps support your wellbeing. During supervision, aspects of your case may be discussed; however, your identity will always remain confidential.
Online Services & Recordings: Some online sessions may be recorded for therapeutic or administrative purposes (e.g., for reviewing treatment progress or maintaining accurate records). These recordings are confidential, stored securely, and never shared without your explicit consent. You may opt out of recordings at any time.
Photographs of Client Artwork: As part of documenting your therapeutic journey, your therapist may take photographs of your creative work. These are used as chronological progress notes in your therapy file. Occasionally, anonymised images may be used for marketing or promotional purposes (e.g., website, social media, brochures). By agreeing to this consent form, you acknowledge and provide permission for this use; however, no identifying details will ever be attached. If you prefer your artwork not be used in this way, please inform your therapist.
